This Stevens manufactured second variation receiver is for the Favorite single shot falling block rimfire rifles and is in very good condition exhibiting a grayish brown patina with light surface rust specks and possibly a few faint specks of pitting.  (file photos)

 

Note: Second Variation receivers will have (1) the round cut frame, (2) the shorter 2 13/16" long lower tang with the threaded hole for the 1st variation mainspring screw, (3) the shorter 1/2" long rectangular opening for the trigger, and (4) have the notch designed for the 1st variation (aka 7 o' clock) extractor.
